Westchester K-9 Dog Training and Obedience Programs

At Westchester K-9 we offer our clients four types of dog obedience training programs; private home dog training, stay & train, stay home & train and group dog training classes. Please see each of the descriptions below to help you choose which is best suited for you and your dog(s). If you're unsure of which route you should take in your dogs' education, please feel free to drop us a line or give us a call and we will be glad to assist you with your decision-making process. Like people, every dog has their own personality. In order to insure you receive the best dog training, we want to help in the evaluation process. By discussing what your needs and wants are, we can tailor a program to match your dog's potential and to satisfy each owner's dog training requirements. We then decide which programs we will use to achieve our goals for you and your dog(s).

Private Dog Training

A Westchester K-9 dog trainer will give you and your dog training lessons in the convenience of your own home. Each weekly session will last between 1-1 ½ hours. The training is individualized for you and your dog. Our Private Dog Training Program is a wonderful option because not only are we teaching your dog, we are doing so in his own environment with you taking part in the process. And because it's a one-on-one basis, we can answer all of your questions. You have our complete attention at all times! Our private training programs include crate training, puppy potty training, dog house breaking, dog leash problems, aggressive dog issues, dog agility training, dog behavior training as well as basic dog obedience training.

Stay & Train

Our Stay & Train Dog Training Program is very popular. Our clients love that they bring their dog(s) into our home for a 3 week period where we put them on a training schedule that has been carefully planned by a Westchester K-9 dog trainer with your input. It is then significantly easier for you to reinforce what has already been taught. This takes most of the pressure off you since the majority of the training has been taken care of. All phases of pet training: house training, in-home behaviors, dog manners and all obedience work are covered in this extensive and intense dog training program. Please understand, any decent trainer can train your dog, the key to our program is to teach you how to reinforce this training. That is why we include 4 owner lessons with our certified dog trainer within the familiar surroundings of your home after our initial training. Stay Home & Train

A Certified Westchester K-9 dog trainer will come to your home and train your dog on a daily basis for 3 weeks, teaching basic obedience commands and home manners. This program also includes 4 lessons with you and your dog at your home. This program is particularly successful because your dog will get trained in his own environment on a regular basis. We also leave you with rules to follow each day so your dog gets the best of both worlds....professional dog training and you get to keep your dog with you in the comfort of your own home!

Group Obedience Classes

You come to a series of 6 classes with other people and their dogs to learn verbal commands and how to communicate better with your dog. Classes include basic, intermediate and advanced levels of obedience plus dog agility and tricks class. Stay & Play

Tails are waggin' since we introduced this EXCLUSIVE offer to our clients only! There is no better place for your dogs to stay when you are away, than in our dog trainers home! This program is only available to Westchester K-9 clients, since we know that our guests have been trained properly and can handle the socialization aspect of being with other dogs. It's also a big weight off of your shoulders to know that while you're away, your dog(s) will be cared for properly and that their training (that you have spent time and money on) will be enforced and continued properly.
